BBC News Article On An Unknown Victorian Photo:
We included this article in our website because we found that it related to our trailer as it has a similar story line. This story has made us realised that our story line is more realistic than we thought. This works well as we are doing a horror and wanted it to be as realistic as it could be to frighten our audience more. (TS, MP)
Victorian photos we discovered:
We found these photo frames and hope to use them in our trailer. They have a old look to them which will make it look more realistic and believable that the photo is Victorian. We found this will be better than making on or using a modern one. We thought it was also useful that we found these photos as we can use them for inspiration for our photo. (TS, MP)

Victorian Names:
As we are making a family tree, we thought it would be a good idea to research about various Victorian names in order to make our family tree realistic. If they had names which weren't related to their era then it wouldn't look as effective. (TS,MP)
Our Victorian Photo Development
For our trailer we needed to create a realistic Victorian style photo. These pictures show our development and our process of making the photo. The first photo is our original with no effects added to it. The second photo looks effective however we decided it looked too colorful for the Victorian style we needed. The third photo again was effective and more suitable however the photo itself looked too dark and drained, also the smudge effect that we used for the background was too prominent for the style. The final photo we decided to use for our trailer as we feel it was perfect for the Victorian era and it was most similar to the Victorian photos we researched. (LM, MP)
Making Our Family Tree
The family tree in our trailer plays a vast part because of finding out who 'Margret' really is, this gets revealed as Megan finds the family tree in the back of the photo frame. This is why it was so important to get the family tree realistic and right. For the research of our family tree we looked at the typical Victorian names and the perfect layout for us. We found that burning the paper made it look old and rustic, this also symbolizes the wear and tear of the family tree as it would be decades old, Also staining the family tree also has this symbolism. We used a inky pen to draw on the names and lines, this helped as we could smudge the lettering a little to show that it was old and has smeared during the time. (MP)
